Where is it?

Why in the world can't the Chief Wafel Master let people know where he will be standing?

Why doesn't he just post a clear and regular schedule on the website?

Well, he would absolutely love to publish a regular schedule, but putting this new business on the the streets of New York takes a little pushing, pulling, giving and taking. So we're not necessarily welcomed everywhere we go. For example, a few weeks ago we tried the corner of Broadway and 17th, at Union Square. We were doing great from 8am in the morning on, but around 1pm Mr. Softee came along and pretty much pulled out the machine guns to get us out. From there we move to the other corner on Park and 17th, right at the W Hotel. We didn't get any complaints from the W or from the Olive bar (we actually went in to ask them), but then the building management decided we were "blocking the view" from the Olive Bar. Bye bye. Thank you very much.

So far, we like our weekend spot on Broadway and 64th (even my friend the hot-dog vendor who stands on the same corner came to get a waffle!). Finding a spot during the week has proven a little more challenging. But we do NOT give up because we know YOU want the real thing. We've been getting so many calls and emails from people looking to find us. To honor those dedicated wafelers, we are going to offer FREE TOPPINGS if you can find the truck and show up to tell us the free topping CODE WORD: "Bierbeek" (this is the Belgian village where the Wafel Master grew up - it literally means "beer-creek"). So if you spot the truck, catch us for a wafel with free toppings if you can tell us the code word!!
PS - the code word will change after 11/11.

Belgian waffles are my overwhelming wonderful memory of the World's Fair! I have mentioned them many times over the years. I still remember the heavenly delicate taste and aroma. Haven't had one since!! I was in 10th grade!! Gotta get one. Congratulations and best of luck in your new enterprise!!!

I work with cancer patients at cancermatch.com . My time away from work is in my kitchen trying to duplicate the delicious memory of my 64' Worlds Fair wafle eating. I so very much look forward to finding your truck (why not join the Mud Truck at Astor Place, near 8th St & 3rd Ave). Thank you for the hope of happiness in eating.

What do people think about using the word "dinges" in the name? Sounds like a dirty Australian feral dog. I'm sure it makes sense to a continental francophone/flemophone?, but I bet you are scaring away customers with that word in your brand. It is tough to compromise on authenticity of a name to accommodate ignorant masses. Thoughts?

What's the new password for this week?!?!?! Is it still bierbeek? it's 11/13 today and i would like to find you tomorrow for wafels. I will bring additional customers with me. Hopefully you'll be on broadway and prince again!!

As for a suggestion as to where you can make beaucoup duckets, and trust me on this...bring your truck near McCarren park in williamsburg on a weekend. 1st off the hipsters will eat wafels till they burst. 2nd, the kids will beg their parents for food at some point and your only compitition is ice cream (too cold now) and old hot dogs. You're Golden (pun intended). Let me know and i will be there for 3 orders! I am up at 6am with my husband and son. very early, I know-- But I'll be ready!!!
