It's Flea Market time!

It's that time of the year...almost. Very soon all of us recession-constrained New Yorkers will leave the overpriced Pottery Barns, ABC Furnitures and IKEA's to head "en masse" to the newest Brooklyn Flea Market in Fort Green for some bargain-hunting and cool-or-hip discovery.
Brooklyn Flea, the largest outdoor market in New York City, is opening in Fort Greene in April 2008! Every Sunday, starting April 6, the market will bring together top sellers of new and vintage furniture, lighting, records, clothes, jewelry, crafts, and more at a 40,000-square-foot lot at Lafayette and Vanderbilt Avenue in Fort Greene. Located just a block from Dekalb Avenue's restaurant row and easily accessible by foot, train, bike, or car from every neighborhood in Brooklyn and beyond, Brooklyn Flea will be the destination for at least a few of your spring-summer-fall weekends.

And why exactly do we at "Wafels & Dinges" care? For many reasons, but one of them is certainly the fact we'll have a "Wafels & Dinges" stand right there, somewhere between the vintage sinks and the bright orange vinyl raincoat!
