We can't tell you how many historians and anthropologists have tried to figure out the complex relationship between Belgium and it's much larger neighbor, France. All we know is that the French smilingly look over to the border and see a chaotic, government-less country with a people who love to indulge in mussels, beer and waffles.
Now the French have made a generous gesture to their little neighbor: They've invited the Wafels & Dinges truck to the Bastille Day Festival this weekend. C'est vrai, c'est incroyable mais vrai! So...this Sunday, between all the escargots, brie and camenbert cheeses, don't be surprised to see the Belgian flag waving off the Wafels & Dinges truck. It's just a friendly visit from another Francophone country...
