"BBQ Pulled Pork Bill" passes Belgian Congress

Three years ago, when Wafels & Dinges was commissioned to New York by the Belgian Ministry of Culinary Affairs, its mission was clear: an All-Out-Surge for better, more authentic, really Belgian wafels in America. The Department of Wafels decreed that any wafels served at Wafels & Dinges needed to be 100% Belgian, just the way you'd find them in the street from  Brussels to Liege. Now two exceptions have been approved to that rule.

In a major landmark bill, the Belgians allowed for the Bacon & Syrup Wafel, as well as the legendary "Smokin' Joe's BBQ Pulled Pork Wafel" to be officially and permanently added to the menu. The move came after several Belgian dignitaries tried the clandestine menu items at the Wafels & Dinges truck on a recent trip to New York. They were stunned at the fusion between Brussels & Biloxi, and decided to lobby their local congressmen to allow a deviation from Belgian tradition.
