How did this come about? We're getting a visit from Keelie Sheridan, Miss Greater New York, this Saturday June 5, from 3pm till 5pm at the South Street Seaport. She'll be shaking hands, kissing babies, taking pictures and serving whipped cream, in short: all the stuff Misses do.
How did we get so lucky? Well, it just happens that one of our waffle-guys (Joe) is Keelie's partner. And so Wafels & Dinges became Keelie's sponsor on the road the Great Missness or Miss Greatness. You see guys, it pays to work at the waffle-truck!
Keelie is thrilled to be Miss Greater NYC 2010, a local preliminary for the Miss New York and Miss America pageants. Keelie is a 23-year-old teaching artist, actress and dancer. She resides in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn, and is finishing up her degree in Theatre at SUNY Empire State College. Keelie's platform is Creating Our Future Through Creative Education, and she is an active advocate for arts education reform. Keelie is currently an arts-in-education writer for artistew and is the Head of Educational Programming for Mind the Art Entertainment. Keelie is OBSESSED with Wafels and Dinges and has a hard time deciding between the bacon brussels with maple syrup and the liege wafel with spekuloos and bananas.
